An outstanding wine that epitomizes everything that is great about a superbly balanced 20 year old Tawny; the translucent copper colored tone of the wine is matched by the beautiful soft nutty aromas gained by a full 20 years of aging in seasoned oak casks. Otims 20 Years is rich and delicate, but never sloying; the tannins and acidity ensure balance and perfect length.

The non-vintage Otima 10-Year Old Tawny Port reveals a medium ruby/amber/garnet color, loads of kirsch and cedar intermixed with a touch of brown sugar in the nose, rich, full-bodied flavors, a burgeoning complexity and big aromatics. This is a full-bodied, silky smooth Tawny Port that should age easily for 8-10+ years.

Roasted sesame seed notes pervade the languid flavors of dried apricot, cherry paste and butter cream. Intense toffee accents show on the supple finish, with hints of Bourbon vanilla. A bit of a throwback, but distinctively rich and complex. Drink now. 825 cases imported.

Warre s seems to have found just the right formula for its tawnys. The 10-Year Old Otima is a fine wine, and so is this Otima 20. It has aromas of almonds, layers of acidity and sweetness, the flavor of bitter oranges, and a round, ripe aftertaste.
