Classic scents of cassis and pencil shavings mark the nose of Snowden's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Brothers Vineyard, which also includes 1% Petit Verdot. Despite being labeled at 15% alcohol, it comes across as balanced and well-proportioned, with ripe—but not overripe—flavors and tannins, a smooth, velvety mouthfeel and a lush, lingering finish. It's even reasonably priced by Napa Cab standards.

Winemaker Diana Snowden Seysses blended 99% Cabernet Sauvignon with 1% Petit Verdot from the Brothers Vineyard, a 4.4ha site atop volcanic soils at 251m on an eastern bench in southern Napa. Aged for 19 months in 30% new French oak. Native yeast fermented, bottled unfined. A medium-bodied Cabernet with grainy tannins, a dusty mineral bouquet, cassis and black currant fruit, and emerging blue fruit and violets on the toasty cedarwood finish. Pleasant and easy-drinking.
