The Pont Royal remains the freshest and liveliest of our chardonnays yet still has a remarkable ability to age gracefully. The chardonnay clones were sourced from Corton Charlemagne and this wine shows finely delineated aromatics of lemon peel, linden flower, with just a suggestion of wildflower honey that emerges with a couple of years in the bottle. Raised in 50% new French oak, with natural barrel fermentation, we remain firmly tied to our Burgundian roots with native yeast fermentation with aging on the lees for 15 months. Three barrels were produced at low yields from the same Russian River Vineyards from which we have been harvesting since 2010. Only 70 cases made
