Winemaker Notes
Deep, shiny golden hue flavors : Complexity and harmony of a delicate fruitiness. Ample and structured, racy and elegant, with a creamy effervescence that is refreshingly tactile. As an aperitif, with a plate of fine charcuterie. As a starter, with eggs in meurette cooked with the same Blanc de Noirs, 100% pinot noir (instead of a red Burgundy). On the main course, with a barbecued rib of beef With a delicious and spicy dessert, such as a pear poached in red wine, vanilla ice cream, cinnamon and crème de cassis.
Critical Acclaim
Rated 91 / 100 Decanter
Attractive savoury Blanc de Blancs style with sweet caramel aromas. Palate with layers of butter, lemon with hints of strawberry.
Rated 91 / 100 Wine Enthusiast
With 60% of the Chardonnay in this wine coming from the vineyards of the Montagne de Reims, it is no surprise that it is rich and full in the mouth. The wine has weight along with a crisp minerality. Taut and tense, the aftertaste suggests that the wine will improve in bottle for a few months.
