Subtle notes include minerals, yellow fruits, flowers, fresh hazelnuts and spices, with an intense finish. The perfect equilibrium of this wine allows it to retain its vibrancy with age.
This delightful wine boasts a good concentration of ripe pear and lime peel on the nose with hints of butter, spice, and some smoky reductive notes. There is a pleasant concentration on the palate, with balanced acidity that leads the wine to an elegant, lingering finish. This flagship cuvée is an assemblage of many parcels (including some declassified premier crus) that total over 9.5 hectares. The grapes are gently pressed before fermentation in tank and ageing in used casks. This wine is a beautiful entry point to a powerful range.
Discreet wood sets off pretty and layered aromas of citrus, spice and acacia blossom. The sleek, intense and beautifully detailed middleweight flavors possess very good energy as well as a subtle minerality that surfaces on the lemon and bone-dry but not really austere finale.
