The Cave de Ribeauvillé was founded in 1895 by numerous winegrowers in the region, making it the oldest winegrowers' association in France. Ribeauvillé enjoys many advantages due to its location in the center of the wine route in the Colmar region, Alsace. The famous "Champ de failles" (Field of Crevasses) of Ribeauvillé has created numerous changeable terrains with different soil conditions. This mosaic of different plots with an incomparable mineral wealth has favored the cultivation of traditional grape varieties. The wines of the Ribeauvillé region benefit from the reputation of being among the best wines in Alsace.
