The 2014 Red Blend checks in as a blend of 50% Malbec, 20% Petit Verdot, and 15% each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah that was aged 18 months in 70% new French oak. It offers a ripe, sexy bouquet of blackcurrants, smoked earth, tobacco and gamey meats. This gives way to a full-bodied, ripe, sexy wine that has sweet tannin and no hard edges on the palate, with beautifully integrated acidity, tannin, and oak. Drink it anytime over the coming 8-10 years.
