Aged for a full year in American oak, Hiatus Añejo pours a lush honey color. It opens with tantalizing aromas of dried herbs and candied fruit followed by hints of baking spices, cocoa, and toasted oak. Wine Enthusiast gave this Añejo a momentous 95 rating; amongst the highest ever given.
This newcomer has a honey hue and distinctly savory aroma that suggests sun-dried tomato, fresh thyme and agave nectar. The soft, slick palate echoes those savory notes, layering in hints of fresh herbs, unsweetened chocolate, black olive and bell pepper. Overall, it's complex and delicious. KARA NEWMAN
