Desert Door Texas Sotol is hand-crafted in Driftwood, Texas. ‘Sotol’ is both the name of our spirit and the desert plant we make it from. We wild-harvest all our sotol; we don’t farm or cultivate the plant, so as to conserve precious resources like land and water.
TASTING NOTES
On the nose our Desert Door Original is a lot like a premium tequila, with bright notes of vanilla and green grass - but that’s where the similarities end. Tasting reveals flavors like toffee, mint, and orange zest. The finish is custard-smooth - smoother than any tequila - with subtle hints of sage.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Our Original is great for mixing in cocktails and can be substituted for clear spirits in most recipes. It can also be enjoyed neat, or over an ice cube.
