Cincoro Anejo gains its remarkable aromas and taste from a very unique aging regimen. Our barrels are imported from Kentucky, and were first used to age Bourbon. By aging Cincoro Blanco in these barrels, we highlight the smoothness of our Blanco, complimented by wood notes from aging 24-28 months in an underground cellar, considerably longer than the minimum 1 year required for Anejo. Subtle notes of toasted oak and maple on the nose, followed by sweet cooked agave, light butterscotch and baking spices on the palate. Remarkably long, elegant finish with lingering notes of dark chocolate.

Cincoro Blanco is made with 100% Weber blue agave and is exceptionally smooth on the palate and approachable. While most tequilas are made with agave from either the highland or lowland region of Jalisco, we use both types of agave. By combining agave from two distinct regions, our Blanco tequila is smooth on the palate with great flavor, complexity, and finish.

Cincoro Reposado gains its remarkable aromas and taste from a very unique aging regimen. Our barrels are imported from Kentucky, and were first used to age Bourbon. By aging Cincoro Blanco in these barrels, we highlight the smoothness of our Blanco, complimented by wood notes from aging 8-10 months in an underground cellar, considerably longer than the minimum 2 months required for Reposado. On the nose Cincoro Reposado has amazing notes of vanilla, baking spices, and toasted oak. On the palate, sweet cooked agave, caramel, white chocolate.

Carbon-filtered, then finished in the brand’s historic Pedro Ximénez (PX) wine barrels using the solera method, the result is a more mature flavor profile than any other Silver or Blanco tequila on the market. It is character-first and perfectly balanced.

After resting for over six slow months in American white oak barrels, the liquid is blended with a touch of Lobos 1707 Tequila, Extra Añejo, and finished at its leisure in the brand’s historic Pedro Ximénez (PX) wine barrels using the solera method. This creates a distinct profile that is spicy, bold, and audacious – expectant from any middle child with something to prove, and the middle child of Lobos 1707 Tequila is no exception.

The 2018 Eaba is another wine from Jim that puts its foot firmly on the ripeness pedal and offers a blockbuster-like style of ripe black fruits, wood smoke, cured meats, and peppery goodness. Full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, it’s flawlessly balanced, has gorgeous tannins, and a great finish. Drink it over the coming 10-12 years or so. The 2018 is 59% Syrah, 23% Mourvedre, 15% Grenache, and the rest Viognier, aged 22 months in 50% new French oak.

A barrel sample, the 2018 Cask 23 Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet-purple color and vivacious notes of stewed black plums, boysenberries and blackcurrant pastilles with suggestions of tobacco leaf, beef drippings and dried Provence herbs. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is refreshing and elegantly styled, featuring a line of finely grained tannins to support the delicate black fruit layers, finishing on a minerally note.

New 2021 edtion

Each year our Distillery Manager, John Campbell, crafts a limited edition malt to celebrate the Friends of Laphroaig and friendship (“Càirdeas” in Gaelic) in general. Càirdeas 2021 is triple matured in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, followed by quarter casks and finally in European oak hogsheads containing PX sherry. This creates a complex expression that is full of character that we've bottled at cask strength to ensure rich and intricate flavours.  Here's to friendship! Celebration of friendship developed by Laphroaig's Distillery Manager.  Smoky aromas of grilled bacon, as well as manuka honey and oak spices.
